This Lesson plan is one that I did for Mrs. Norris's 8th Grade Math Algebra 1 classes. It deals with square roots. I made this with the mindset they had never seen it before and many of them picked up on it and did well. After the third day they all seemed to retain the information. I will contribute this to having everyone learn all three ways, listening, seeing, and physical. I had them watch me, do work from the book, and they also did an activity making them get out of their chairs and be the square root.
